Australian Developmental Curriculum
( Play Based Curriculum)
It has come to our attention that some other consultants and staff from other
organisations are attempting to host or run professional development sessions on
the Australian Developmental Curriculum.
Due to copyright laws and intellectual property laws, no person or organization
is permitted to use any aspects of Kathy’s work, book or professional
development sessions unless they have been given specific permission directly
from Kathy Walker and Associates. Even if the title of the professional
development does not use the title Play based curriculum or Australian
Developmental curriculum, unless authorised, no person or organisation can base
their professional development sessions upon the work Kathy has designed.
This not only protects Kathy’s work it also ensures that any school wishing to
introduce the approach is being provided with the correct information based on
years of the work Kathy has developed both as an academic and consultant.
Kathy has a vested interest in ensuring that the approach is correctly
represented, explained and implemented into schools so that learning and
teaching is rigorous and works effectively alongside current Curricula
frameworks across Australia.
Any school wishing to implement the approach is encouraged to attend the
symposiums that Kathy holds regularly in Melbourne and interstate or to have
Kathy and her associates visit the school to explain the approach and provide
ongoing support.
